Entomologist, Wanderer & Biker
|
I'm Angela (she/her), I am an entomologist with a background in agriculture. I am in love with insects and ecology, and I have worked with them for over 14 years, learning about their life cycle, rearing, collection, and curating process, and lately, biocontrol, population dynamics, and insect communities.
I am a PhD candidate in the Gruner's Lab of Forest Ecology and Entomology at the University of Maryland and a Mel fellow of the Maryland Forestry Foundation. |
I have a strong background in agriculture, which allows me to understand and interconnect the close relationship between insects, plants, and biotic and abiotic factors. This has allowed me to dwell and deeply enjoy the field of Ecology.
My PhD in forest ecology has proven to be a perfect opportunity to see beyond the picture of a controlled agroecosystem and learn more about the natural interactions between the landscape and the insect I am working with. Learn more about it on my Current Research page.
